We discussed decolonization and how it destabilized many parts of the world, especially Africa. This led to a lesson on genocide, since many of the existing problems in Africa that led to violence had started with imperialism. Genocide is the planned and systematic destruction of an entire race, ethnicity, or religion. After the Holocaust and the killing of 7 million Jews we vowed "NEVER AGAIN." Despite that, genocides have occurred on almost every continent since then. We focused on Rwanda and the 800,000 Tutsi tribesman that were killed in 100 days.
