We studied the specific thinkers that dominated the Scientific Revolution. Students took a mini-quiz upon entering the class that had 4 questions. We discussed the impact of the scientists, specifically Galileo and Newton. It's important to remember that many of the new ideas were opposite to what the Catholic Church was teaching. Students used the book to research the 12 scientists at the bottom of the note sheet from yesterday. We played a Kahoot Quiz game as a review. We watched a short video on Tycho Brahe, a very unconventional and fascinating astronomer.
